The ACCOBAMS Survey Initiative (ASI) led in 2018 and 2019 to the first marine megafauna monitoring campaigns ever carried out at the scale of the Mediterranean Sea and the Black Sea. After two years of intensive in-depth analysis of the data, the reports of the results are made available for the best and widest possible use, at the service of the conservation of the marine environment. At the occasion of the release of the reports , the ACCOBAMS Secretariat organized on 22 April 2021 an online event to present the main findings of the ASI.
The film presented here was produced jointly by the Secretariats of the RAMOGE, ACCOBAMS and Pelagos Agreements. This video aims to raise public awareness on the impact of litter on the marine environment and to promote simple but effective actions to reduce this pollution. It is urgent to reduce marine litter and to mobilize everyone in this sense.
