The Permanent Secretariat of ACCOBAMS went to Tangier (Morocco) on January 18 and 19, 2018 to lead the awareness workshop of the project “Towards the development of responsible Whale-Watching activities and pescatourism in Morocco”, organized in cooperation with the Fisheries Department of the Ministry of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests of Morocco.

The Permanent Secretariat of ACCOBAMS went on January 17^th to Casablanca (Morocco) to take part in the meeting organized by the National Institute for Fisheries Research (INRH) for the end of the project “Strengthening the network of strandings of cetaceans on Moroccan coasts, training in their management and creation of a tissue bank “. This project was conducted by INRH and funded under the ACCOBAMS Additional Conservation Fund.

The Executive Secretary of ACCOBAMS, Ms. Florence Descroix-Comanducci, participated to the twentieth ordinary meeting of the Contracting Parties to the Convention for the Protection of the Marine Environment and the Coastal Region of the Mediterranean (the Barcelona Convention) and its Protocol, held in Tirana, from 17 to 20 December 2017, and hosted by the Government of Albania.
