ACCOBAMS Workshop on interactions between cetaceans and fishing

2007/07/09

From 10th to 11th September, the "Workshop on interactions between cetaceans and fishing activities in Italy" will be held in Rome.

The workshop is organized by the ACCOBAMS Secretariat with the expert advice and the logistic support of ACCOBAMS Partner ICRAM, the Italian Central Institute for Marine Research. This activity will be performed in the frame of the project "Bycatch Program Italy-ACCOBAMS" and is supported by the Italian Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry Policies (Mipaaf).

ACCOBAMS/PELAGOS joint Meeting : towards a label for whale watching activities

In the frame of their collaboration, the Secretariats of ACCOBAMS and PELAGOSorganized a meeting on whale watching activities. It was held on 23rd April at the Auditorium Rainier III in Monaco and operators from France, Italy and Monaco participated.

Training course on Cetacean Strandings Monitoring

In the frame of the development of the National Networks of Cetacean Strandings Monitoring, the ACCOBAMS Secretariat collaborated with the Institut National de Recherche Halieutique (INRH) of Morocco to organize a training course on Cetacean Strandings Monitoring techniques.

Patrimony's Day : Larvotto's Beach

This year, the Patrimony's Day is organised by the ACCOBAMS Secretariat, the Music Academy and The FMAS. Each institution will provided its expertise for a particular event.
It was held on 30 september at the Larvotto's Beach.
The public but also the participants will be at first the children even if the last esperience showed us that adults are interessed as well.
