The ACCOBAMS and GFCM Secretariats received a financial support from the MAVA Foundation to implement the project “Towards solutions to interactions between fisheries and cetaceans in Moroccan and Tunisian waters” (hereinafter referred to as the “MAVA Depredation project”) which aims at achieving the strategic objective to reduce interactions between cetaceans and fisheries.

Please be informed about the launch of a call for expertise for “Developing proposals for long-term funding mechanism(s) for periodical large-scale cetacean monitoring in the ACCOBAMS Area”.

The ACCOBAMS Permanent Secretariat is looking foraskilled expert (or a group of experts) in fundraising in order to develop proposals for long-term funding mechanism(s) for periodical large-scale cetacean monitoring in the ACCOBAMS Area to support the regular update of populations trends and conservation status.

The deadline for application is Sunday 15th September.
